The hardest part of publishing? Momentum.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I said, “I’ve got to start a blog.” If so, I’d definitely have enough to cover the first year of WordPress. And after twenty-some years of creating strategy, copy and content for others, I decided it was finally time to create a little something of my own, so here we are. I know I’ll be back, but will you?

If you’re a writer yearning to be read, or paid, I imagine you’ve felt a similar angst. What do I have to say that’s worth reading? Can I really be funny, interesting, informative, or inspiring all on my own? The voices that tell you “No,” “hell, no,” and “who do you think you are?” are the ones you have to get past. And realize most people have those same voices. But the only one that can shut them up is…you. And your ten fingers. So get them typing, get out of your own way, and get the ball rolling. If nothing else, you’ll make your mother proud. And that, my friends, is enough for me. So here’s to 2018, and to finally making that blog daydream a reality.
